1. Background & Case Study

The name Cauliper is taken from the word Cauliflower which represents the name of a vegetable that is liked by all groups of people, and Caliper as a measuring tool. And the concept is that the user can use a "Caliper" or filter as a measuring tool to determine the level of quality and price so that they can choose a certain quality and price of vegetables, meat, and fruits.

This is because the difference in budgeting and income in the Greater Jakarta area and outside Jabodetabek is quite high so that each family has its own preference regarding quality and price.

2. Research Objective

Research is carried out by conducting a survey with the following objectives:

  1. Knowing the difference in budgeting from people living in the Jabodetabek and non-Jabodetabek areas (big cities vs small towns)
  2. Knowing the preferences of each respondent when shopping online or offline
  3. Knowing the obstacles experienced when shopping online and offline, especially in terms of quality and price
  4. Knowing which one is preferred to be used as a feature in the Cauliper application in the future

3. User Criteria

User criteria that will be used in this research are:

  1. Fathers or mothers that actively taking care of the family needs, mainly over than 25 years old
  2. Oftenly cook every day
  3. Oftenly buying groceries, online or offline
  4. Families with lower income
